Information we collect
When you send an enquiry, we receive the details you enter: your name, organisation, email address, optional telephone number, the area you need help with and your message. Our hosting systems may also process basic technical information, such as an IP address, timestamp and request details, to operate and protect the website.
Please do not send passwords, sensitive personal information or confidential system details through the form.
How we use it
We use enquiry information to understand your request, reply to you and, where appropriate, discuss or provide CookTec services. We also process limited technical information to keep the website secure, prevent abuse and investigate faults.
We rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, performing a contract where one exists, and our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and operating a secure business website.
How long we keep it
If an enquiry does not become a customer relationship, we normally keep the enquiry information for no more than 12 months. If the enquiry leads to work for a customer, relevant information may be kept for longer as part of the business relationship and to meet legal, accounting or contractual obligations. Information that is no longer required is deleted or securely disposed of.
How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information. No internet service can guarantee absolute security, so please use the contact form only for the initial information needed to start a conversation.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights to access, correct, erase or restrict the use of your information, object to its use, or receive a portable copy. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office if you are unhappy with how your information has been handled.
Contact us using the details above to make a request. We may need to confirm your identity before responding.
Changes to this notice
We will update this page if our website or handling of personal information changes materially.
